It was SOO crowded. We had to park about a mile from the parade. I didn't take a stroller or anything assuming Beckham was big enough to walk. Nor did I bring any chairs or anything. We parked walked over and found a spot to sit near the end of the parade. Well, being at the end of the parade means that all the candy is gone by the time the floats get to you. I kept Becks entertained with a bunch of dumdum suckers (I buy those in bulk, they are always in my purse and save me when he's about to have a breakdown)
The parade was ok, Sydnee really liked seeing the horses and Becks liked the cars and the tractor. When is was over Beckham decided that he didn't want to walk anymore! He would pull on my legs and fall on the ground and cry. My shoe broke so I had to take them off and walk barefoot, Sydnee's shoe was hurting her so she did the same. I ended up carrying my shoes, all of our drinks and 35lb Beckham!! Plus Becks was crying and would not hold still. It was a fun mile walk!
But I did it, we had fun, I independently took my children into a difficult situation and took care of what I needed to take care of. I realized during the morning that if R had been there he would've been whining more that Becks was. So....
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!
My sweet girl!

The ever moving Beckham

He looks so interested
Sassy studying the horses and probably plotting how she can get one
Me and my monkeys!

Don't let this picture fool you, this was about the only 5 seconds he walked on his own

Something good.... some days it would be easier with someone by my side to help me, but I don't NEED someone! I can be independent by myself!!
